I realize the inconvenience that yous are facing with Windows. Every bit you take issues signing into Windows using the Pin feature, I request yous to reset the PIN and bank check if it helps.

  1. On the login screen, click on "Sign-in options" , and try to login to Windows with your Microsoft business relationship or local account.

Keep us posted on the outcome.

Thank you,

Sudheendra.

Thank you lot Sudhenndra for your endeavor to help, just sadly that did not work, considering the fact that I did not know my Microsoft password. This is very frustrating. If I did non have a telephone that was not running Windows on it, I would take been locked completely out of my computer (and probably phone) forever. This is unacceptable.

Microsoft needs to consider a way to featherbed bug like this. What if I had taken my laptop to work to give a presentation that was an absolute MUST to have? I could accept lost my task! It seems clear that Microsoft did not retrieve this thing through.

Were it not for the fact that I'm not a big Ubuntu fan, nor Apple, I remember I would fire Microsoft after this. Fortunately though, I have a phone on Android and was able to reset my password that way. One time I was in, then I removed my Pin completely and then added information technology back. I did not want to "change" it because my Pin is a number I volition call up that just I could figure out. My own children tried to hack information technology one time using a variety of numbers and were never able to crack it.

When you lot kickoff having to change your countersign and PIN number multiple times, you're going to get locked out. Microsoft needs to find a way around this. Whether it'southward a code on my phone, or something!

In the end, I resolved this issue on my own but I am not at all happy with how it had to exist washed. I'thou non upset with you, Sudhenndra, considering by all means you were kind plenty to help me. My hostility is directly squarely at Microsoft.

I as well want to address Kalpana Shankarappa, whose message I cannot come across hither. I got it via e-mail though. You said:

After whatever update it volition usually have you to Microsoft business relationship as to make sure you are the right person who is the owner of the reckoner. In one case you log in to it using the Microsoft business relationship then you tin can log in using the PIN

I encounter. Well information technology would have been nice if Microsoft would have really said that, rather than telling me it was "incorrect". In a nutshell, Microsoft apartment out lied to me. Why? I cannot fathom why they would do this. What were they thinking? That is absolutely insane. A uncomplicated, "With your latest update you will need to first sign into your Microsoft account with your password, then your Pin will be reinstated." would have sufficed and should be done. I'm rather angry at present that Microsoft blamed me for not being able to log onto my computer with my Pin, when in fact they deliberately disabled the part.

Cheers though Kalpana for answering that mystery. Again, similar Sudhenndra, I'grand not aroused with you, but Microsoft.

I had this same problem with 3 of my own Windows 10 PC's that had PIN's set for Log-in. I tried numerous suggestions to no avail. THIS WORKED FOR ME: Remove and Create your Pin again. The steps are similar to Sudheendra's and they led me to my solution.

  1. On the login screen, click on "Sign-in options" , and try to login to Windows with your Microsoft account or local account "P assword" .
  2. Click on Windows icon on the bottom-right corner, on the peak of Kickoff Menu, click on your account, and then select "Change business relationship settings" .
  3. On theleft-side panel of Accounts settings, select "Sign-in options" .
  4. On this page you have a number of "options" "Require sign-in", "Windows Howdy", "Password" and and so comes "Pin".
  5. Directly below "Pivot", you volition see two buttons: "Change" and"Remove".  C lick on "Remove".
  6. Y'all will exist asked "Are y'all sure you want to remove your PIN?" etc, etc. Below all this you volition find two more buttons: "Remove"  and "Cancel". Click "Remove".
  7. A Log-in Box at present opens for you to re-enter your"P assword". Enter your password then click "OK" .
  8. You will be returned to the "Sign-in options" foliowhere you tin now "Add together" a  "PIN" once again.
  9. Enter your new PIN and confirm Pivot, click on "OK"  to reset your new Pivot for your Windows.
  10. Please be sure to Restart your PC and Sign-in with your new Pivot to ostend.

I promise you observe success with this one, Mike
